Health & Wellbeing - Mustafia Sharif Charity

Health & Wellbeing

Access to healthcare services is a fundamental right that should be available to everyone. We are a charity organisation that offers a variety of programs to support individuals in achieving their health goals. Our mission is to provide individuals with the tools and resources they need to lead a healthy lifestyle and improve their overall well-being.

Onboard Specialists:
“Expert guidance for health journey”

We have onboarded a team of specialists who are committed to supporting our mission of promoting healthy living and well-being. Asma Jabeen (Mental Health) from the University of Manchester, Dr Fassah Bibi (CEO), Dr Asmat Syed (MBBS MSc Clinical and Health Nutrition), Sehr Ali (Diabetic Specialist Nurse), Dr Shagufta Parveen (GP), Dr Chand Bibi (Gyno), Pamila Malik (Nutritionist/Health Worker)  and several other well-known specialists have joined our team to offer their expertise and guidance to individuals seeking to improve their health.

Counselling and Awareness Sessions:
“Empowering people with knowledge for a healthier life”

We understand that good health is not just about physical well-being, but also about mental and emotional well-being. That is why we offer counselling sessions to individuals who need support and guidance in managing stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.

We also provide awareness sessions on important topics such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Our awareness sessions are led by specialists in their respective fields, providing valuable information on the prevention, early detection, and management of these diseases.

Healthy Activities:
“Making fitness fun for everyone”

We believe that healthy living should be fun and enjoyable. That’s why we offer a range of healthy activities that individuals can participate in.

Our Nordic walk is a popular activity that combines exercise with nature, providing a refreshing and invigorating experience

We have completed some other health activities in which Our walking club was a great way to get some exercise while socialising with like-minded individuals

We also have completed exercise and fitness classes, both online and offline, to cater to different needs and preferences.

“One Activity at a time.”

We have been doing these activities since 2018. We take different initiatives and introduce different activities.

Healthy Eating:
“Small changes, Big results”

Eating a healthy diet is crucial for maintaining good health. Our healthy eating program provides resources and support to help people make nutritious choices that fit their lifestyles and preferences. We believe that healthy eating should be enjoyable and sustainable, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Mental Health First Aid Course:
“Be the support system someone needs”

Our Mental Health First Aid Course is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to provide initial support to someone experiencing a mental health problem. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about mental health and how to support individuals who may be experiencing mental health issues.

Our course covers a range of topics, including common mental health disorders, suicide prevention, and how to offer initial support to someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Participants learn to identify signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and how to provide initial support and connect individuals to professional resources.

Root Cause Analysis and Pathway Referral to Specialist:
“Finding solutions at the source of the problem”

At times, achieving good health requires more than just general lifestyle changes. That is why we have a root cause analysis program, where we try to find the root cause of an individual’s mental health issues like housing, job, marital issues, family matters, children problems, and immigration issues, and then we work to solve them and or try to support them in some ways.

In cases where specialist intervention is required, we offer pathway referrals to specialists who can offer further guidance and support.

Whether someone needs support with mental health, guidance on healthy activities, or specialist intervention, we are here to help. Our team of specialists is dedicated to ensuring that individuals receive the appropriate care and support they need to lead healthy and fulfilling life.
