Understanding The Need
In Manchester and Greater Manchester, joblessness remains a significant challenge, particularly among marginalised communities. According to recent statistics from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the unemployment rate in Greater Manchester is 7.5%, higher than the national average. Many individuals face barriers to employment due to factors such as a lack of skills, limited access to resources, and systemic inequalities.
Comprehensive Support Services
Our Career and Job Search Guidance programme is designed to address these challenges head-on. We offer a range of support services, including:
- Personalised Career Coaching: Our experienced professionals provide one-on-one coaching sessions to help individuals identify their strengths, skills, and career goals. According to a survey conducted by our organization, 85% of participants reported feeling more confident in their job search after receiving personalized coaching.
- Skills Development Workshops: We offer workshops and training sessions focused on developing essential job search skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and networking. In a recent workshop series, 90% of participants reported acquiring new skills that they could apply to their job search immediately.
- Digital Literacy Training: In today’s digital age, digital literacy is essential for accessing job opportunities and advancing in one’s career. Our digital literacy training programme has helped over 200 individuals improve their computer skills and navigate online job portals effectively.
- Access to Resources: Through our extensive network of partners and resources, we connect participants with job openings, career fairs, and other employment opportunities. In the past few years, we have facilitated over 500 job placements through our network, helping individuals secure meaningful employment.
